2012 Tense-N-Grity Short Track MTB Series in Eugene, OR

Chance Fitzpatrick Massage and Turtles Bar and Grill

The Tensegrity PT Cycling team is hosting the first short track mountain bike race  in the Eugene/Springfield Area at Bloomberg park near LCC.

Directions: For race purposes the only entrance will be off 30th Ave and can only be accessed heading West towards Amazon. If you are coming from the other direction, you are encouraged to take the exit for LCC and turn around.

Course Description:
All races will be held in the trails surrounding Bloomberg Park
Combo of grassy flats, twisty singletrack with a rock garden, and two gravel road climbs.

Kiddie Race (for kids age 0-10):
The Kids will do a 3' loop in the same area, with possibly some more technical sections and obstacles. Trikes, training wheels and push-bikes are all allowed. Kiddie racers race for free but parents/guardians of kiddie racers still have to sign a waiver.
Race Fees:
Kiddie racers (10 and under) free
Juniors $15 dollars
Pro, Cat 1, 2, 3 and Singlespeed $20
Second race cost $5 per person

- Day-of-race registration: 30 minutes prior to your start time. 
Registration:
- The registration tent is located at the top of the park near parking.
- OBRA membership required for all racers (except kiddie racers) - single day: $5 / annual membership: $25
Important: Per the newly adopted OBRA rules, all riders who claim to be OBRA members will have to show proof of current membership at their first short track race of the season. if the racer can't provide proof (i.e. membership card, confirmation email), he/she will have to purchase a single-day license ($5).
- If you plan to pay at the race, please bring cash or checks. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS AT THE RACE!

Prizes:
- Tons of products and prizes, randomly distributed among all racers.
- Prizes for Pro Men and Women top 3 overall

Important Safety Rules:

1) Helmets are mandatory at at all OBRA-sanctioned races. Make sure to bring one and wear it any time you are on your bike, including on your way from your car to the infield and back.
2) Be safe for other park users. Bloomberg Park  is open to all users and is a frequent spot for dog walking. Keep your eyes posted and be courteous. Also we encourage racers and spectators to not bring your dogs during racing. If so they must be kept on leashes or you will be asked to leave.
